So, we run every week on Thursdays and just about every time we are out doing our thing, we get some sort of honk, yell, whistle, or interesting comment. Probably 90% of these correspondences are just a simple honk and wave as if to thank us for our hard work. I welcome the honk and wave maneuver. Of course, with any group such as ours (is there any other group quite likes ours?!), those occasional interesting comments are bound to happen. We welcome those too. If for no other reason but for our own entertainment. Take last week's comment which included the words "big" and "butt." I'm still unsure who they were yelling at or if it was directed at us at all, but I'd like to thank them because I got to jam to the song "I like big butts" in my head all night later on. If you see us out running around Des Moines, honk and wave...or, shout out some other mid-90's rap I can get stuck in my head. Either way, I'll be happy you noticed me and maybe the next time you think of littering, you'll reconsider!
